Hello,

My situation is that I wasn't able to graduate within given time provided by the previous study permit and now I have one semester left to complete and am trying to apply for a new one. When I submitted my application in September it got refused due to the reasons down below:

• Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(c) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the cost of transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada.

After some research I now understand there wasn't enough 'show money' in my dad(sponsor)'s bank account, so we're planning to deposit enough money that could cover 'tuition fees + living expenses ($10,000 ~ 14,000)'.

However, what I'm wondering is that am I supposed to show my own TD bank statement as well? I do have one since I had studied in Canada for the past 4 years, but the current balance is $400 and am not sure if this would help the application in any way or even if it's necessary. There's only $400 because I'm currently staying in my hometown using my other bank account.

Looking forward to you guys' replies,

Thank you : )

Are you extending or applying for a whole new permit? You need to show fees + 10,000/year at least, depositing lump sum into the account could be viewed negatively like you are trying to fool ircc.

Im guesing sponsor needs to show even more since he also needs money to live!

The 400 in your account probably wont help with the application.

Also there are aditional docs required from sponsor, check the paper application instructions for your country.

I'm applying for a whole new permit, and if depositing lump sum into the account may seem negative should my dad gradually deposit 'show money' over couple weeks until we reach the required balance?

Thank you for your help
