Hi,
I am interested in enrolling myself with the Masters in Global Management course in September 2021 or January 2022 at Royal Roads University. From the information that is provided on the website, I feel it will a great fit for me. The following is my previous educational and professional qualifications.
1. Bachelors in Architecture in India- Full time 5 years course. Graduated in 2017 with a GPA of 8.11 out of 10
2. Post Graduate Diploma in Management with specialization in Marketing from India- Full time, 2 years course. Graduated in 2020 with a GPA of 7.1 out of 10. This degree is considered an MBA equivalent in India.
3. Currently working with an American Research and Advisory firm as a market research specialist. I perform research and analytics on topics of global business and technlogy, coordinating with teams and analysts all over the world. I have a good understanding of the world economy. I am looking to gain atleast 1.5 years of work experience before starting this course and hence want to take a careful decision. I feel the Masters in Global Management will give me international exposure as I want to work in consultancy or research in a global firm in future.

Reasons to choose this University:
1. one year Masters course makes sense for me since I already have a 2 years post grad diploma
2. A masters degree has more legitamacy than a certificate or diploma

P.S: I have faced a couple of TRV rejection for Canada before in 2018 and 2019, the reason being I was a student then and did not have financial independence which makes sense. The reason for my visit then was to meet my bf who is settled there. We have no intention to settle down anytime soon. Unfortunately the purpose of visit raised red flag for IRCC. Upon rejection we just took a trip together elsewhere. I have travelled fair bit internationally as well (4 countries). In terms of assets I and my father co-own a house in India after my mother's passing away. He is a government employee.

Questions: Will the past refusals raise questions in my study permit application? I want it to as sure as I can be before I apply. Does the career progression make sense?

Yes, as you have to mention past refusals. If you have a boyfriend in Canada they will naturally assume your intent is to remain with him and not leave when you have to.

Career progression is important, but you should also explain why a Canadian master's on top of your PGD is important for your job prospects. Surely by now you have enough education and are more than qualified for skilled employment.
