hello everyone pls i need ur help for detailed info on how to apply for study permit.
I am a nigerian and i already av admission to study in a sch in canada.I want to submit my application asap bt im still confused on the issue of sponsorship.Do I still need to present a bank statemt from a sponsor since I already av a reasearch assistance of 14000 dollars and another 4000 for tuition fee because the breakdown of expenses for the year is abt 21-22000.I will appreciate ur prompt response.Thanks

I think you should show some amount in Bank statement since your expenses are more than the scholarship.

For Sponsorship you need:

Reference letter from the individual(s) providing you financial assistance for your program. The letter must indicate their occupation and relationship to you, the number of dependents they have and their full contact details. You should also provide a letter from the employer of the individual(s) providing you financial assistance for your program, clearly indicating employer contact details and full street address of business location.


For Scholarship you need:

Scholarships or any financial assistance or award from a government or other funding agency must be presented on official letter stating the full amount of the award, its duration and any governing conditions.


*You have Research Assistance of CAD 14,000 + Available Tuition fee of CAD 4,000, and you need a total of CAD 22,000 (I hope it includes living expenses as well). In such case you are running short of CAD 4,000 (CAD 22,000 – CAD18, 000). If you can show CAD 4,000 by way of FDR, Bank statement thn you are through.
