Study Permit Online Application

Has any one applied online for study permit? I have applied online after creating an account in GCKey and by using personal reference code. Then uploaded all the Docs required in the upload page and the signed online and then made the payment.

In my case required Docs in Upload page was:

1. Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294)
2. Proof of Means of Financial Support
3. Passport
4. Request for Medical Exam
5. Family Information (IMM5645) (Opens a new window)
6. Letter of Acceptance
7. Digital photo

After 12 days they refused my application showing the reason that I did not upload Education Docs. So they could not process my application. And it seems all my uploaded docs were correct.

So my question is if there is no field for education document to be uploaded, why they refused saying that I did not submitted education documents??

If anyone have gone through these same steps please let me know your experience in details. And also I would like to know if anyone managed to upload Education Documents online. I really need help to get through.

Same thing happened with me buddy. I applied online on 20th March and got refusal on 07th April saying you did not provide educational documents. On 11th April, I applied again via VFS Ahmedabad.

I am going to do the same .. I live in Kolkata, So I will apply as soon as possible in kolkata vfs.
Online application takes less time for the processing but its not a perfect application process. They need to refine it. If they need documents then they must provide a field for that...
That was really frustrating ....when your application get refused for something they didn't ask at all in the application process.

Please share what happened with you after applying in VFS directly and how long that took..@Karim

Yes. I applied just 2 days back. So waiting for the update.

I did online application

I made use of the column that says letter of explanation and I uploaded all other documents my educational certificate, birth certificate courses attended and my C.V

Did you get any further communications from the visa officers??
Please let us know if your documents(Education and other docs) have been accepted from the Letter of Explanation column.
It will be very helpful....

And please let us know what happened next..As online application is faster than paper application I am willing to apply online..
