Hi,
It is my understanding that there are only very limited circumstances where a person can apply for a study permit from within Canada. My understanding is that typically they will have to apply for student status outside of Canada. My boyfriend is in Canada on a visitor visa now and we want to apply for a study permit once he receives acceptance from the University.
I'm just wondering if two of the steps can be done in Canada? Specifically:
Thanks!

I'm just wondering if two of the steps can be done in Canada? Specifically:
- Can he submit the online form in Canada before he goes back to his home country for the remaining steps?
- His country requires a medical exam from one of CICs physicians and submit their report with the application... Can we use one of the Canadian physicians on the CIC list or must we use one in his home country?
Thanks!
