Study permit- help please!!

I am currently on a pgwp and thinking about taking a designation in business. I will have to register with the Canadian Institute of Management but take the courses at Sheridan college or York university (basically I will have to go in class) instead of doing online and learning on my own.

I called CIC last night and the lady advised me that I can have a study permit issued. I'm a little skeptical about applying for the study permit because I doubt I would get it.

Therefore, any inputs or suggestions or has anyone received a study permit for a professional designation.

If you are on PGWP ,try to get PR first and then get any designation( CGA,CMA,CFA etc) because usually these designation requires a WORK PERMIT as you have to work and study part-time. Other than that even if you need study permit ,you will not get PGWP second time.
