Study permit for a minor

Hi,

I have a query regarding the study permit for minors. If the minor is granted admission & study permit for Canada can the parents accompany the minor. If yes, what documentation will they need. They currently do not have any type of visa to enter Canada.

No - the parent cannot live with the minor in Canada while they attend school. The parent can apply for a visitor visa which would allow them to visit Canada for a short period of time. However the visitor visa will not let them live in Canada and there's no guarantee it will even be approved. This is why you must find a guardian for your child who already lives in Canada if you wish to send your minor child here to study.
