Study permit extension

My passport and study permit are both expiring in March. However, I plan to renew my passport in my home country. Currently outside Canada). Can I still travel to Canada with the Study Permit in my old passport (that has not yet expired) and my new passport.

Or does the study permit also expire with the passport?

Study permit expires on the date thats printed on it, usually no longer than the passport.
