Study permit extension

Hi everyone,

I am applying for my study permit extension for another year of study. I have a question, so here it is.

Last year when i was still in India, I applied for study permit for May my application was rejected dues to some reasons (As per CIC other reasons). So i reapplied for September and got my visa acceptance. Now I have completed 1 year course in canada and my visa duration i intend to apply for study permit extension for another year.
So when i go to fill my extension application it asks me if I have ever been rejected visa to any country. I just wana know if it is a negative impression and risky for me to get extension.

I was rejected for Singapore tourist visa , and I mentioned it in my application .
However my study permit was approved .

Be honest and say you were rejected first attempt for study permit for (other reasons) and you'll be good .

Study permit extensions are only rejected on basis of no funds , not being a genuine student , like skipping classes or a semester etc .
