Study Permit Extension.

Hey folks,

So I'm thinking of pursuing another one year course after I'm done with my current course in April, here in Canada. I would really appreciate if someone here could help me out with a few questions-

1. Do I apply for an extension on my current student visa or do I make a fresh application?
2. For the Indian students out there, who have done this before, will I have to replenish the GIC account with another set of CAD $10,000 dollars or are bank statements enough as financial proof?

1. Extension of current SP provided you apply with in 90 days of first graduation.
2. Bank statements are enough.
