Hi guys,

My study permit is expiring in JUly 2014 and I am planning to do another post-graduate course starting in Sept 2015. In order to apply for an extension, the form asks for proof for your tuition fees and accommodation/living expenditure.

My Question is, do we need to show any proof of money for accommodation ? if yes, do I need to provide proof of accommodation for the first semester?($5,000) or for both the semesters? ($10,000)

I am currently a student, and I was told, I only need to show fees for the first semester, but the form is asking proof of money for accommodation as well.

Please help in clarifying this point!

This forum is useless.. Everytime I post a query, nobody bothers replying! If people with knowledge wish not to help then, this forum should not exist in the first place. Anyways, don't bother replying now, as I called up the CIC and got my answers. Infact, I will never come back to this forum, its easier to call up CIC and get the answers than expecting any kind of reply from this forum!

You need to show $10,000 dollars as a proof for living expenses not tuition fees

The more you can show the better. At least, u should have 10k CAD. I would also suggest that you provide 'em with a receipt for the tuition fees.
