Study Permit Extension from within Canada - did I need to pay with my application??

Hi,

I applied for my study permit extension July 21st, expiry date on my current study permit was July 31st. I am currently in Canada. I'm a UK citizen. I came here before biometrics was mandatory so I have not had it done yet. I was under the impression that I would receive an instruction letter after I submitted the application, then go to the place to get my biometrics done and pay there. Since I haven't received a letter yet I did some research and it said that I needed to pay the fee at the time of the application - but no option for that was offered when I put it in?

Any suggestions on what I need to do? Thanks!!

Call the IRCC and ask them about your application and about fees

Bio-metrics aren't required since the facility hasn't been setup yet in Canada for students renewing their SP or going for a PGWP.

I applied for extension as well.
