Study Permit Extension Delays - Anyone with faster processing?

Hey,

Anybody have any luck getting their study permit approved faster than usual? Right now the processing time is at 77 days. Previously, it was around 14 days or so when I last checked in Oct 2014.

Yeah, that sucks..
I applied to extend my SP and my wife's OWP back in March 19 and nothing yet (although I heard cases that have been approved already)
But it is a looong waiting..

Thanks for chiming in. I did read that some cases got approved faster than the processing time. I wonder if it depends on the date of expiration of the permit. I hope the processing time gets shortened soon. I wonder why the processing times have gotten so long for online applications.

I read in another post that someone who applied on May 08 received extension on June 12.

I applied on April 15 and am still waiting for hear back from CIC...

But, it's true that some people heard back faster and I'm not sure why...
