STUDY PERMIT EXPIRY DATE QUESTIONS

Hi,
i had applied for a study permit extension back in February, and i have just received a notification saying that it is approved however the expiry date is on august 30th?? what does this mean?

Time to apply for a new one. What did your LoA say about the length of your program?

it is an undergraduate program and on the confirmation of enrollment it says i am currently second year. is it possible that they had made a mistake?

It's possible. Maybe they want you to re-apply every year so they can keep an eye on the application. In order to say in status, you'll have to reapply anyway, because it's unlikely you could get a reconsideration within the current time frame and even less likely that they'd issue a new permit with an extended expiry.
