Just need a bit of advice on a question asked (changing my status from Visitor to Study).
Some background: I'm a recent graduate from the UK, wanting to continue studies in Canada whilst living with my (Canadian citizen) partner. I originally visited (first time) Canada last summer, for a mix of tourism and personal reasons. I came to visit my [now] fiance for the first time, we met online years ago and I decided to meet him whilst do some travelling/soul searching in Canada. I decided to extend my trip for a few months, with him, and he eventually proposed etc etc. I made some decisions about what I wanted to do in Canada (lifestyle) etc etc, decided to apply to university in SK to continue my studies further. I left to go to the UK for a month to visit family/friends and tie up loose ends, then came back to Canada in January. I was recently accepted into university and now am in the process of applying to change my visitor status to study status.
Anyway, one question asks about your original purpose for coming to Canada. I know many applications, from a glance, appear to be people wanting entry to the country for illegitimate reasons/for an easy visa. Do I state I came here originally for personal reasons, truthfully? Or would it be wise to just not mention it and say Tourism or Study. Our wedding is in August so eventually I will be applying to change my status again to resident, so I'm unsure if I don't mention some detail on it now would it seem suspicious to later applications?
