Hello Guys,

Please can anyone tell me if I can apply for a study permit at the port of entry in Canada without a Letter of Introduction.

I have a USA passport and I heard I can show up at the POE and apply for a SP without applying online or paper at a Visa office outside Canada.

Thanks

Application process vary by country. Go to cic website and check there what the requirement is to US citizens. My guess is that you can't just show up at POE.

US citizens require an ETA to do so.
1. US Citizens don't require an ETA
2. US citizens can apply for a Study authorization at the border, as long as they have the proof of funds, acceptance letter. See:

The categories of foreign nationals who may apply for a study permit when entering Canada [R214] are the following:

national or permanent resident of the U.S.;
person who has lawfully been admitted to the U.S. for permanent residence; and
resident of Greenland or St. Pierre and Miquelon.
