Hi everyone!
I applied for a visitor visa in Canada few months ago to visit my brother and it got refused by the embassy.(main reasons: no ties, migration history). However, I want to apply for a study permit now that I finished my studies.
My situation is like this. I am from Albania but I have been living in Greece for almost 15 years. I have only Albanian citizenship though.
My parents live in Greece as well. Also, my brother is a Canadian citizen and lives in Canada having his own family. I just finished my studies (undergraduate) here and I want to study further in Canada. I plan to come back of course after my studies because of my parents and my boyfriend. I am wondering if is it better to find a job in Albania and to apply from there? Or it doesn't matter so to apply again from Greece (my only concern is that I am considered an immigrant)?
Does a visitor refusal play role in all this? Having a job is preferable than not having? And where is better to apply from? I am really confused because I have read some study permit refusal situations and I don't understand why it happens. If a university admits you then why you just can't go?
Thank you very much!
