heya guys! I just want to inquire about the success rate of a current student who wants to apply a Visitor Visa to Canada. My purpose is to travel and see Montreal, visit friends and, visit schools as well. Well there be a high chance of getting a TRV?
It would be my first travel outside the country. Just 18 years old.
Thanks much!

Based on the information you've provided, I would say low chance.

Do you have any property in your home country? Own a business/store? (Yes, I know the likelihood of a 18 year old owning any of that is low, which is why I said low chance for the visa.)

Do you have sufficient funds to pay for your visit? (At least $2k CAD per month.)

Do you have any relatives in Canada? Will you be visiting them or near their residence?

You'll need to show significant ties to your home country to be approved for a visa. You may want to search "TRV refusals" in the search bar near the top right hand corner of the screen and see what others had to include to get their TRVs approved.

Is the property in her name only or shared with the parents?

Btw, I wouldn't mention she's going to look at schools. Visiting friends is enough. Is someone writing her an invitation letter?

thank you so much amikety..

She has a property named after her by her parents. House and Land.

She do have $6k for three months.

she doesn't have any relatives in Canada. Only family/close friends in MTL. Im one of her friends.

All her family members are in their home country. Aside from two siblings whose working in other countries and citizen there.

Shes currently a student. but we don't know if it will be a plus points for her intended visit.

there's a property solely on her name. And a property as well with the parents.

they are willing to invite her, but is there any risk for a new permanent resident to write for an invitation letter? Two of them have worked already.

Shes planning to mention about looking for schools and visiting friends. Glad you mentioned it..

thank you so much amikety.

She needs to include a land deed/title to the house in her name with the application. That will help.

It would best if the new PR has a job when giving the letter, especially if the friend plans on giving her lodging while she visits. Then they can show paystubs to help support her too.

It's difficult for a young person to get a visitor's visa, but I wish her good luck :)
