Student visitor to USA wants to visit Canada - What to provide?

Hi everyone,

A student relative of a mine who resides in USA under a student visa (J-1) would like to visit Canada for few days. What documents should I provide as an inviter? Is it needed to provide my gross income or pay stubs? or just a letter solemnly declaring that he is visiting me and has no intention of staying?
