student visa while waiting PR?

Hello, All

We are Feb. 2014 applicant and received OWP last month. My wife, applicant, wants to enroll the post secondary school from Calgary. Can she take the any class from college even though she is waiting PR?? I believe she can get student visa if she's paying international student tuition.
Any advises?

as far as I know she cannot take any class with work permit visa - i could not take any class when I held post graduate work permit (I was told not to by CBSA officer )
it may be different if she take online class though.

correct me if I am wrong.

I believe you still technically require the study permit (without doing some extensive searching I can't say for sure).

However, because you have a OWP, you can apply for a Study permit from within Canada without any issues now.
