Student visa rejection reasons

I am be tech student(EEE) and passed out in 2009.Now I have applied for electrical engineering technician course(2year diploma course) in Canada.but I had 16 back papers for btech, I have no gap after btech study,and going ahead with 2017 sept intake.wheter back papers are reason for getting visa rejection?

Backlog affects your chances, but there is nothing you can do about it except for writing strong SOP, that you will do anyway.

After B.Tech, EE technician course does not sound reasonable to me. May be you wanna look at some PG diploma or master degree.
