A student visa and PR are two different processes. When you are scrutinized for a student visa, factors such as your chances of returning after you finish your education is the most important. This is not so in the PR as you are filing your application with the intent to remain in Canada indefinitely. You will have to disclose in your PR application that your student visa was rejected twice, but it will have no bearing on your application as long as you meet all the eligibility requirements for the PR.

not sure how can you be rejected due to no travel history. You will need to attach rejection letters to your application, or provide meaningful explanation.

Have anyone else came accross the same?

Yes, last year (November and December 2016) I got rejected twice... I got accepted from Centennial College and college start date was 2107 January but they rejected anyway...

The reason was travel history and they didn't believe that I was going to return back to my home country at the end of my stay. Well.. I wasn't going to...That's why I am now applying to PR but we didn't know the right procedure so we did what our consultant said to us. She was going to be paid for the college acceptance if we made it.

After that, she even said: " you should travel, then we will apply again and maybe this time you will succeed."

Of course, she didn't know that I was giving my one month salary to every application. So we said: "no.. not again.."

It was a 2-year college... we have a baby but we got enough proof for funds...

I've read somewhere in this forum that at the end of 2016 many people got rejected for the same reason...
I don't know why...

Actually, I am happy for rejection now, because If I get PR now I'll be paying less (much less) for college...

In April 2016 I was also rejected for student visa, the reason was same as many others they didn't believe that i will return in my home country. One week ago I received my passport with an immigrant visa in it.

So, my point is your student visa refusal won't affect your PR process if you meet the requirements.

BTW, similar to what you wrote, thanks for the rejection for the student visa cause now everything is much simpler and less costly.
