Hey guys ;D
I had applied for student visa (for this Sept. session), but I got a refusal stating "Purpose of visit" as the reason. So, now my option is to either wait for next Sept. session & again apply for student visa (that course is only available in Sept session) or I could try to apply under the FSWC (as soon as they starts accepting the files again).
As, I was simply focusing on the student visa, so right now I do not have much clue about skilled worker immigration. I've gone through various threads & other websites, here's what I understand so far (based on the proposed FSWC point system):
I've done Bachelor's of Engineering in Computers (2010).
After that I did a job as Web developer (PHP) for another year and then I started freelancing (but I can show the experience as Software developer (JAVA) as I was working with some company on contract basis).
Will take the general IELTS (right now have academic with 7.5 overall L-8, R-8.5, W-6, S-6.5)
I've calculated the points as below
Age 12
Education 21
Language (English) 20-22
Experience 11
Making it a total of 64-66 (depending on the language score)
Am I calculating it right? :-X
So, if I'm able to make my points 67 (by taking some french exam), will I be eligible to file for the immigration without any job offer or any other requirements? How long will the whole process take?
Another question is regarding the sponsorship. Can a non-blood relative residing in Canada sponsor someone? If yes, then does it add some points for the immigration?
Thanks. ;D
