Hi all,
I've applied for a Master's program in international finance for the Jan 2013 session. I have a BBA in Finance and Marketing with an overall CGPA of 3.7 out of 4.0, and one year of work experience in an oil trading company as a market research analyst. I have an IELTS score of 7.0. I am expecting to get the LOA in early September, after which i'll apply for the visa. Until then, I am assembling my documents required for the student visa application. A few questions that I have:
1. I initially applied to a college program for September 2012 session but have asked to withdraw my case. I am still waiting to receive my documents back. How long does it normally take for them to return the documents?
2. Given that i initially applied to a college program and withdrew my application, will that negatively impact my future applications? Do I stil have a good chance of getting a visa.
3. The total program cost is CAD 28,000. How much finances do I need to show? i understand that tuition fee (28,000) + 1 year living expenses (12,000) + travel expenses (3,000) = CAD 43,000 which is about Rs. 41 lakh. My father has a business. In the last 5 months, he has an average balance of Rs. 30 lakh in his personal account which he uses for day to day expenses. However, he is expecting some payments from his business and can easily increase the balance to Rs. 50 lakh by end of August or early September. Since CIC asks for the last 6 months of bank statements, will this be a problem? I will also show is business assets, worth about 1 crore, plus house ownership (about 2 crore) plus cars (about 50 lakh). Will this be enough to convince the VO that finances are sufficient.
4. For finances, what documents should I show? Like business ownership documents, worth of business (like machinery, etc), business balance sheets, etc.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
