Student Visa and Open Work Permit

Hi All,

My husband has applied for a student permit to study at a College in Vancouver (Co-Op Network Administration), which would entitle me to an open work permit.

We have more than enough funds to support ourselves and we have properties (ties to South Africa)?

Can anyone advise whether they had a similar application and whether it was successful?

We used Global Visas.

Its been 4 weeks since our application was sent in.

Hmm I am in the same boat. For me its been more than two months now. No sign at all of any visa.

Oh no, he starts his course in October, thats not very far away!

Did you use an agency? We used Global Visas, our agent said the process usually takes about 2 months!

i start my course in September. Still no visa. I am very very worried . It is so sad.

I think it has to do with the strike, it has caused a slight backlog (this is what my Global Visas case worker told me today).
