Anybody please help..

I had a previous application with my H1B1 status here (USA), but eventually I fall short for some points and got denied.
Now, I am re-applying but my status has change from H1B1 to STUDENT..

Questions:
1. Effect on my application? Do they prefer that applicant is in WORKING status?
2. On the application form what will be my CURRENT OCCUPATION?
Please help......

Thank you so much.

Anybody please help..

I previously had an application with my H1B1 status here (USA), but eventually I fall short for some points and got denied.
Now, I am re-applying for the second time but my status has changed from H1B1 to STUDENT..

Questions:
1. Does it matter with regards to my work experience as far as my application is concern.
2. On my application form, where I need to state my CURRENT OCCUPATION do I need to put STUDENT or my previous occupation(as programmer). Is student an occupation? I know it's a status, but occupation... kinda confused with that.

Please help......

Thank you so much.

I put in my application after my status changed from H-1B to student as well.
I think that the work experience they require needs to have occurred in the last 10 years and your status as a student now will only affect your application if you do not have the needed experience to get to 67.

More senior members will likely add more to this.

Yes, sorry.
If you are a research assistant, or teaching assistant, you could put that too.
All the best!
