Student Permit with 5.5 Band IELTS can get visa Plzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hi friends

I am Ramesh from India, Recently I had received Official Admission Letter from Dalhousie University in CANADA for Jan 2017 Intake.

The problem is I have only IELTS 5.5 Band (S-6,W-5.5,L-5.0 & R-4.5) according with this score can I get CANADA Student Visa.

Profile is Follows Below:


Academic: B.Tech In Mechanical- 64.02% No Backlogs-2010 passed out

Diploma In Mechanical Engineering - 58%

S.S.C -66.1%

I have Five Years Work Experience.

3 years in Saudi Arabia

2 Years in India.


Kindly advise what type of Student Visa i would Apply Like

General-----VISA

SPP------VISA

University-----VISA

With this IELTS score the only place I know you can apply is St.Clair college in Windosr, Ontario.
You'd have to apply under general category (non SPP)

Why dont you retake the IELTS? Jan intake means you still have some time to prepare and answer it. Although it is true that the visa officer considers your entire file, they give a lot of emphasis on good english ability cause they feel if your english is bad, you simply wont be able to comprehend your lectures and would not be able to complete your course, thereby extending your stay in Canada or working illegally.

application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications,
previous studies, missing marksheets, academic record, level of establishment, language
abilities, or your future prospects and plans.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.


For this I have changed my course from construction engineering technician to Advance diploma in architecture which is relevant to my field. And I have 11 Backlog and my IELTS score is 7.5 Listening 5.5 Reading 6.0 Writing 6.0 Speaking overall is 6.5. please guide me what to do and how to tackle this problem. Please help me.

My 10 percentage is 6.8 CGPA from CBSE and 6.8 in Diploma in Architecture from GTU.
