Student permit... to London visa ..for winter 2011 intake

I opened this topic to share our time line for those who wait student permit visa from london visa office
My application delivered on october 20, 2010
I got acceptance in centennial college.
I will start class on January 7, 2011

Is anybody know how long the visa process takes?

Hi,

The processing time for CHC London is 6 weeks if you have no issues with your application. I intend submitting my application next month. Did you include a police clearance certificate? Are you British? And could you please list the documents you submitted.

hi, i sent my application from ireland and it was received yesterday. Are u still waiting? I think london visa office is soooo slow. My course starts on 10th Jan 2011. I don't know what happens now.

I haven't heard anything. just waiting, what about you have you applied? have you get your visa?

No, my application reached there only this week. But I think it has been 4 weeks for your case. It might be good sign that your documents are according to their rule, otherwise visa office would return. So just wait and see. However, I can not beleive it takes this long. I hoped there are not many applicants around winter term. I am just praying to hear from them before Xmas. If not I could not arrange my travel.
Please, keep me updated if you hear anything. I will as well.

I am waiting it will be four weeks in this week, yes I also heard from other's the same their is no many applicants, I will pray. Hopefully we will hear good news soon.

I have not heard from London visa office. I am thinking of withdraw my application as I have very short time left before the course date. I just can not understand what is take them this long.

It starts on 10th of Jan 2011. I paid a half of tuition fee. If I want it back i have to claim it before the course starts. Xmas is appraching so fast. I doubt they will be still working in 2 weeks time. What do you think? I think yours is nearly 6 weeks by now.

I don't know, do you have about how to contact visa office? to know application precessing status.

I am thinking to contact them because it is going to be more that the processing time what they specify on their website.
