Student permit and PR (Family Class) at the same time

Dear all

I've applied for PR through family class (my wife is my sponsor) on Dec 2014, and received sponsorship approval this Feb.
I also got an offer from a Canadian university to start this Sep. But I have to apply for student permit first.

My question:

Does these 2 application conflict with each other? Is it ok to start another application while the PR is in process?

Yes you can definitely apply for study permit. Both applications are separate and there is no conflict between them.

Also in case of rejection of study permit, it will not effect your PR application.
