Hi everyone,

I've just got information about this site. Now I am so glad to share my question with someone who also concern.
I have 12 year work experience in foreign country.
I am going to go canada to study at college this May. Class will start in Sept.
I plan to study there for 2 year.
Here are my questions:

Q1. Can I apply to Express Entry(register my profile to pool)? If yes, can I do so even before Sept?

Q2. Is there any chance for me(international student) to get a job in Canada without causing any problem about vis status?
I would like to check if person with student visa can get a job and apply permanet resident via express entry while studying without going out canada.

I really appreciate your answers.

I also have a similar concern. I have applied to both Memorial University of Newfoundland (because of the tuition rate) and University of Manitoba to do my Masters.

I had planned to attend MUN and move to another province (such as Manitoba or Saskatchewan) after completing my studies and then applying under CEC or the PNP but based on discussions I have seen, it appears as if other provinces will not be in such a hurry to nominate you.

I need guidance on where to choose as I wish to go and apply for the student visa soon.

Q1 Yes you can apply PR on a student visa if you qualify one of the economic program (Most likely FSW for you?)

Q2 Whether employer hires you and do LMIA and other paperworks for you is between you and the employer. But if you can find an employer agree to do it, you are allowed to do that. You can't start working until you have a work permit or PR.

Or you can apply for PGWP after you graduated, then you can start working without LMIA while having a EE profile. Without LMIA, you are not getting the 600 points, which, as of now, means you are not getting a chance for PR.
