hey guys
please help me in detail........i was refused my study visa in 2009 and their is a stamp on passport which states application number and date of refusal..........after that i have completed my masters in india......and the refusa reason they gave was that they are not satisfied whether i will leave canada after completion of my studies.......as i applied without ielts.......misguided by my consultant......now my wife is canadian pr and i was wondering whether there will be any effect of that refusal on this case.........as that was 5 years ago and will they check my education documents or they just want a genuine marriage.........please help

No, I don't think it will affect your application,
but it is important that you state all the information required including the visa Refused,
What matters is that you had intentions to complete your Masters, and it was not possible
to do it in Canada, but you did it in India... that is what matters the most... your intentions
in that time.
You are OK... it happens that you married a Canadian Resident is just coincidence...
It could be someone that is not Canadian resident... so, don't worry....

You will be OK...
Just make sure that you always give all the information required and don't leave any information
out.... like in this case, the refusal.

Good luck with your application

they may crutinize you a lil bit . So just put in a solid application . Being refused visa before can be a red flag. Put in solid application and you will be ok
