STUCK IN NEVER-ENDING SECURITY STEP

Hello everyone.

Eligibility, criminality and medical are shown passed within Feb, 2019. I submitted my application in Dec, 2018. As per GCMS notes retrieved in May, 2019, security hasn't even started!

Can this be normal? Anyone in similar situation? I heard this year there were many who got PPR in a few months.

It's not really that unusual. Sure - there are some who got PPR after just a few months. But others are waiting close to a year or even over a year in some cases.

My Eligibility, criminality and medical were all passed in Aug 2018, since then I have been under security screening, its been 11 months now. Agent says security is done case by case, so however long it takes, it is entirely at their discretion. Disheartening.
