Hello,
So I am staying with my boyfriend on a visitors visa here in Canada. I am a citizen of the US.
I have a tentative job offer with a large Canadian employer, with an implied positive Labor market assessment.
I am stressing because I have been told I need to apply for a work permit outside of Canada and that it may take up to 45 days.
Does anyone know if I can simply cross the border, apply for permit, and come back to visit in Canada?
Will they make me stay in the US while I wait? What if said employer is unwilling to wait 45
