I just want to be with my beloved.
The process to become Canadian to be with him is stressing me out!!!
I wonder if it would be easier to bring him here to America instead?

In September he will be done with welding school, I wonder if anyone knows if it
is easier this way or the other?

Some people find the process to the US harder, since there is a specific income requirement for spousal and that sort of thing. I don't know everything about it but there's a forum at visajourney.com that has US information.

Wherever you go, there will be the same sort of thing in terms of scrutiny of your situation and relationship.

10 years ago I went thru the whole process of immigrating to the USA (I'm Canadian). Believe me when I tell you it was much much more stressful than the process of applying Outland for my husband's PR for Canada. Unlike Canada, in the US you have to meet financial requirements for spousal sponsorships. If you apply Outland, you will be done in about 6 months or even less. Took me several years before I got the actual Green Card here in the US although I was allowed to work with a work permit. Things might be different now but somehow I doubt it, especially after 9/11.

I totally agree with Can, it took us less than 6 months for my wife to get her visa, and there is no financial requirement. :)

Good luck.

On the US immigration forums, I see spousal applicants receiving their green card in three months...

Thank you all!

I was just low, reading all the trouble this takes has gotten me down.
It's just hard tryng to prove i'm not just tryng to get into Canada.
I began to wonder if I should just go the other way.

I've decided to keep fighting :)
