Hello.
I am currently waiting for a study permit so I can start graduate studies at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, but the Canadian Embassy in London is taking its sweet time to process it. I sent the application package via TNT on the 15th of June, received in London on the next day.
I have not received any mail or acknowledgement of any kind from London. It has been seven weeks now, and I am getting anxious. I have a flight to Vancouver booked next monday but I'm not sure what to do if the study permit has not arrived by then. Is it possible to visit Canada as a tourist, have a family member back home send the permit to me in Vancouver when it arrives, and then drive just outside the border and return as a student?
Anyway, can anyone give some advice on this? Thanks.
PS: I'm Icelandic, if that piece of information helps
