Still waiting for file number

Did any of the Dec 2011 applicants receive the file number? My application reached on Dec 23, 2011 and didn't receive the AOR yet. Wondering what is going on?

It's a waiting game. I sent my application in in June 2011 and didn't get a file number until February. Request for medicals came shortly after. Now everything is done and I'm just patiently (not really patiently ) waiting for the approval.

How many months they deduct the processing fee you paid?

They actually cashed my cheque August 5th. I didn't get a file number until the last week of January, and they said they started to process my application on February 24th.

What worries me is that people who applied after have received their file numbers....Does anyone have an idea how CIC processes the applications? It all looks random to me. My draft was cashed out on 21st Feb and no news after that.

My daughter sent her application in the middle of November and no AOR till now.

When your bank draft is cashed?did you check your e-cas with the client id?

I called the bank and yes it is cashed

That is a good sign.Also you can ask them the date of cashing the bank draft.
you can check your status in the online ecas system by using client ID.

used my client id for work permit, couldn't find anything
