still cant link my application to online account

Hello guys,
I am asking for your advice:
I got email last Friday (9th of February) that I can go online to link my application to online account for communication with CIC but it has been 2 full business days and the page still says that my application is not found, and I need to try in 24 hours.
When I press CONTACT US it directs me to the page that is not working.
What should I do?

I assume you are referring to the MyCIC account (i.e. rather than the older ECAS)? If so, then linking an application with a MyCIC account is notoriously tricky - it took me 23 attempts over several days!

The 'trick' seems to be to enter the least amount of information possible, rather than all that is requested in any particular data combination route - you do this entering almost no information, then using the on-line screen validation which highlights the next field it needs and so on. The more information you enter, the more likely it is that it won't match precisely with what was entered by the clerk at CIC.

It really is a very crude method they have deployed for linking at CIC, but until they wake up and smell the coffee, we are stuck with it!

We got that same letter mid January. And we are still not able to link our app in mycic. I have pressed that contact us and have had no response. So I have been trying everyday for almost 2 months and still no luck

hurlabrick thanks for your reply, I am trying again and again but still no success.
As I understood from email I got if I don't register CIC will communicate though email but it takes longer times
KloveGthat is not good, if so many people encounter problems with linking the application CIC should probably change something

Congratulations!!!

Of course it shouldn't be this hard, but often persistence pays off. There is no one guaranteed route to success, just go at it logically and try every permutation. Enter the bare minimum of information that the on screen validations will allow - the less you enter the less that can disagree with what they typed in!

Try entering just a space under City [Spacebar] x 1, and don't count minor in family size
