Hi. Things to do for a direct hire individual visa approved:
1. Your employer in Canada must first register the job intended for an individual sa POLO office here. ( assuming all documents are complete LMO,JOBOFFER)
2. Then the POLO office will check and verify and they will send copy to POEA certifying that the job is legit with the following names of workers. That will take around 2 to 3 weeks. Just ask your employer if they register it.
3. Go to POEA and you can check if they recieved the documents because you need this to process your paper( you need to pay a certain amount para sa PHil Health and other documents required for you to exit the phil. and schedule you for PDOS. Ask for their sched of PDOS (Pre Departure Orientation Seminar) - i discuss dito yung mga do's and dont's; what to expect etc.
4. Kasama na din the seminar youg OEC. This is an important document.
5. After your PDOS your ok to go, that is kung may schedule flight ka na.
6. Make sure all your documents are in one envelope which are easily accessible so that you can present it to an Immigration Officer.

BE ON TIME PDOS na..
1. Inform the guad na PDOS na kayo ipakita lagn ninyo un schedule nyo.
2. Lahat ng applicant on time, un facilitator late ng 1 hour sa case ko ha.
Hahaha!

Friday- My employer informed me that they are not agreeable sa repatriation clause.
STEP 2
DAY 3- Monday
I called POEA hotline to doublecheck other option if ever ayaw mag sign ng employer. They mentioned that meron naman, buy an insurance to POEA accredited ins. company.
Nagkwento baket me ganun na condition, so in short me option nga daw. Buy ako ng insurance.
3. Insurance companies are located sa Baba ng POEA. Paglabas ng gate right side, me ginagawang building dun. "PARAMOUNT LIFE INSURANCE ang napuntahan ko.
4. Insurance amount $32 or Php1,300.00. Hihingi sila ng xerox copy ng contract, LMO, passport at visa mo.
Ayun binigyan na ko no.
7. Wait sa call ng no. sa STEP 2 na window sasabihin kung what window no. pag tinwag na po number nyo. Ibabalik nyo un folder na me docs. un Folder from STEP 1.
So sabi ko nga bumili ako insurance.
9. Kinuha un copy ng insurance policy at me binigay na 2 forms un (1 for OWWA and 1 for PAG ibig). Then wait for my name to be called.
10. Pagkatwag sa name ko, hiningi un 2 forms.
11. I che-check ng POEA staff un papers. Pag ok na proceed to STEP 3. (Payment na!)
12. Proceed to window 3,me hihingin na form sa inyo. I think un owwa form na copy yata un.
14. Proceed to another window(nakalimutan ko un no.) pag-ibig form naman i forward nyo dun sa window na un.
15. Then sasabihin ng staff na puede daw i continue and pag ibig me bibigay na no. at parang brochure ng Pag-ibig.
16. After that, tapos na ang NIGHTMARE ko sa POEA.
Hahaha!

is it true that POLO is only required if your employer has hired 10 or more Filipinos in the past? In short, pag wala pa sila record ng hires dati, di na kelangan mag POLO?
