Hello fellow members,
i have a question regarding my situation right now. I came here Sept 2017 and completed my first semester of my course which is a advance technology program(3 years). The thing i don't want to this program anymore(already withdrew from it) and want to shift a program which is just a diploma one(2 years). But there are no seats available for january 2018 intake and only option left is for september 2018, a result there is 8 months gap in between.
Can i stay in canada for this period? what should i do? PLEASE ASSIST ME.
Thank you.

Others can comment but It is likely your current study permit will get cancelled within 90 days of abandoning your course so you will likely have to apply for a new study permit.

Once out of full time education you can no longer work in Canada and as said in my view assuming your study permit gets cancelled you could not stay until September but have to start over unless you maybe extended your stay as a visitor. As said that’s only my view and others can correct me.

But what if i apply in other college and get a LOA from there within 90 days(for the Sept 2018 program)? do i still need to apply for a study permit?
