I received an ITA in the last round and am on the way to have my documents submitted. I work (remotely from France) for a German enterprise and will remain so while living in Canada. That is, I don't and won't need a work permit while living in Canada, at least in the upcoming years.
With that in mind, I was wondering if there is any visa that would allow me and my wife to stay in the country and get our lives going while we wait for the final decision on our PR process and not have to wait another half a year for that. As an international moving of such magnitude is tremendously time, money and energy-demanding, I would like to avoid something that would cause us to have to move back to Europe should the PR process be delayed or anything.
What do you think can be done?
We thought of looping between Canada and the United States on a visitor's visa or getting a study permit to my wife who will be doing college in Canada anyway while we wait. Do any other options come to mind?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
