Stay after extension denial!

Hello All,

My request for work permit extension has been denied since my employer didn't apply for LMIA.
The request was processed and declared invalid on Aug 31st 2015. I was planning to stay and apply for restoration as a visitor. But now I need to go back to India for some urgent reasons.
Should I go back without applying for restoration.
I have already stayed for about 2 months after denial.
Please advise as your help will be really appreciated.

1. Restoration as a visitor (if approved) won't do you much good as your visitor status expires as soon as you leave Canada.

I would suggest try for visitor restoration and if by luck you got approved for 10 years multiple entry( according to new regulations as per last year for Indian nationals) then it might help you ge back to Canada and give you enough time to find employer. Otherwise PMM is right. You still have one month left for restoration try it before you loose this chance as well. Good luck.

All depends on duration of stay ....
And one more thing you might also get it for 6 months multiple entry visitor visa which is also good...don't worry..All will be fine because i've sveral cases like you and they tried for visitor visa and they got approved at least for some period of time...Good luck !!!!

I have around $10,000 to show, how many months of stay should I ask for?
And what reason should I say for applying for restoration, I can say that I am planning to get into studies and researching some suitable courses here but would need visa extension till I finally decide, does that sound valid?
Please let me know.

Visitor visa is usually for visiting and tourism purposes , but i don't think so you will need to specify as you are restoring and they know it very well. so , what i would suggest is check the complete requirements and forms you need to fill because usually we make mistakes while filling th wrong app forms for e.g; you might need a visitor's record form but youmight be filling visitor visa's form ...so go on this website and determine your eligiblity , but i think you are eligible , so spend a day or few hours on your eligiblity and app forms you need, then start your app process. any further assistance needed feel free to inbox me..i would be happy to assist you..buddy..good luck..
