Hello Everyone,

In the Statutory Questions, I am confused in following two questions. Please advise

1) been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

2) been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?

I was in US on F1 visa and my employer filed the H1b visa petition on my behalf which got denied because they were not able to furnish proper details. Because of which concurrent Change of Status petition filed on my behalf also got denied and I left the country with in 10-15 days.

What should I answer?

Does it have any negative impact on the applicant?

I would answer as no. Petition is not the same thing as Visa. Moreover it was not your application, you were only a beneficiary.

You can also answer as yes and provide explanation that it was denied because of employer's problems and not yours. It is highly unlikely to affect your PR application.
