statutory declaration?

Meant to add this in my other post...

As far as "proof" of a genuine relationship, I saw on the checklist a note that mentioned sending 2 statutory declarations from different individuals.....if we're sending all these photos, emails, records, etc., is it really necessary to send these "statutory declarations" as well? Anyone else do this or is that just in cases where photos, emails, and such cannot be provided?

We didn't - and our relationship was deemed genuine without them. Those are suggestions for things that you might submit to prove a genuine relationship - they're not all-inclusive and not all are mandatory. Things like photos, itinerary from trips to see one another, or trips taken together, cards, letters, emails, phone bills, etc., are primary evidences, and declarations from family/friends are helpful when you don't have a lot of the other evidence.
