Nope, just the marriage certificate is required to show that you are married :)

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking this might be useful to prove that ours is not a marriage of convenience and that we actually had a relationship prior to the marriage.

You can include rental agreement etc. I just included e-mails and facebook messages plus plane tickets :)

will definitely include the rental agreements. Did you print out the emails and face book messages and attached it to the application? Thanks.

Yes, well not "attached" but with it yes :) I had a few e-mails dating back to 2006 when we first met :)

Good day,

I am currently in the process of filling up forms with regard application - Sponsor Spouse and Family Member (living outside Canada) and I just have a couple of questions:

1. There are two basic parts, namely: Part 1. Sponsorship Forms Part 2. Immigration Forms. My question is: Do we submit both parts at the same time (together) under one application to the processing center in Mississauga?

If the answer to the above is no:

2. We are asked to show proof of our relationship i.e. emails, photos, plane tickets, etc.. If we were to file separately, then does that mean we have to produce the same proof twice and attach it to each other's application?

3. When will my Spouse file the application to the visa office from where she is based? will this be after I (Sponsor) receive the approval to sponsor? Will that notice include details on where and when exactly to file Part 2. Immigration Forms?

Additional Question:

4. There is a Medical Condition statement (for a person I intend to adopt - daughter of my spouse) under the Checklist for Sponsors that says this has to be faxed to the Visa Office processing the application. My question is: since I am going to attach this to my application (Part 1 Sponsorship Forms), do I still need to fax this or will this be automatically be sent by the office in Mississauga?

Thank you in advance.

yes everything must go together in the same envelope.
if not they will most likely send your whole application back and ask you to redo it.
