Few months back, I got file no. from CIO....

I have sent full doc to Local visa office... can I check updated status with same file no. or I would be given different reference no. from local visa office?

So local visa office will send another e-mail with reference (file) no., once they acknowledge the receiving of doc? or once case is approved?

Both the file numbers will work.
2nd file number will be sent through post. in very rare cases it is sent through e-mail.
2nd file number will be sent in response to the receiption of your full application in the local visa office.

khanbaba... thanks for replying... i am in situation now... my application is received by local visa office on March 26 morning...
we are moving to new address on May 1st....

I am thinking to send letter to local visa office on April 30th for update of address...

Please advice... If I have other choice....
