Hi,
I have just had my work permit extension (summitted on April 20th) refused on September 29th due to not being eligible and I now need to restore my status to visitor. I have just received a provincial nomination so I expect to receive an ITA in the next draw. I believe that I have 90 days to restore my status from when I received the refusal letter. It would appear that Express Entry is taking more than 6 months for many candidates at present. I intend to remain in Canada until I receive PR if possible.
When would the 6 months of visitor status apply from assuming my application to restore my status is successful? I'm concerned that I may need more than 6 month to receive PR. If I wait until closer to 90 days after my refusal letter, will the 6 months start from when the visitor application is submitted / approved or will it be backdated to the date on the refusal letter?
Thanks,
