My spouse is a refugee and his case if positive. He will be applying for PR application soon.
However, I am a dependent on his application and not a refugee (I am on post-graduation work permit).
I have few questions and would appreciate your help on it.
- Since I am not a refugee but spouse of a refugee what is my status before and after PR application?
- Am I allowed to go back to my home country or travel?
- My spouse want to start a business soon and move to British Columbia for business, however, for me right now it is better to stay in Manitoba since I need to get my work experience. Is it possible to stay away from each other whilst applied for PR application?
- Can I also apply for PNP through Manitoba while PR application is submitted, just in case if PR is not approved then I can back up my spouse through my PNP and get him a PR.
- My spouse wants to go back to his country to see his family after he gets the PR, I tell him not to do since it's risky for him, however, in case if he goes back then would he lose his PR? also if he lose his PR would I lose my PR too?
