Status expiring can I stay and drive after the expiry date

Guys my status in Canada is expiring in next 15 days, I am on LMIA based work permit, I am looking for a employer to sponsor me, in a mean time can I apply for study permit or visitor status before the expiry date??
Am I consider as an illegal after the expiry date, till I get my status ??
What are the things I can do and I can't after the expiry ??
And do I need to apply for the restoration after too ??

You can only apply for a study permit if you have already been accepted by a school into a full time program. It's most likely too late to apply for a study permit at this point for a September start date.

You can certainly change your status to visitor.

Once your work permit expires, you must stop working unless you have applied for another WORK permit prior to your old work permit expiring.

If you wait until your work permit expires and then apply for something, you'll also need to apply for restoration at the same time.

I have two options either apply for study permit, which I got accepted by one school or to get a visitor status, just incase if any of the thing didn't work out, do I need to leave the country immediately ??

If restoration of status application is refused, then you will be asked to leave immediately. You will probably receive departure order.
