Statement of Purpose

Greetings

I'm starting to feel a little stressed out because I keep finding out more and more documemts that I apparently need for my study permit application.
I was reading through the forum and kept seeing proplp saying how important it was to have a statement of purpose letter.
This WAS NOT MENTIONED on the Canadian IRCC website so I didn't think I needed one.
Do I need to put together a statement of purpose letter ?

ofcourse you should. spend good amount of time for the SOP. Explain your intentions, why you chose the program, your future plans, etc
