Statement of Purpose help?

Hello all,

Good day!

I am writing my statement of purpose for the student visa but have two small questions.

1. Is there a limit for how long it should be? Can it be double sided? I currently have two and a half pages, do I need to reduce it? I am not rambling in it, everything I wrote is contributing in making my case stronger, I think.
2. When answering the question about the program enhancing opportunities for employment in your country, is it okay to talk about internships of that program or will the make the officer think that you could get a job from that internship and stay in Canada after your studies essentially weakening your argument about returning home?

Thank you for your help!

1. Check the specific visa office instructions for your location. Mine said "approximately one page in length" and I stuck to that, wrote a page plus a paragraph or so. Two and a half pages sounds like it's too much honestly.
2. I personally don't see a problem with mentioning internships, especially if you mention that the international work experience will be very well regarded when you return to your country, or something like that.
